This is the first set for my seventeen year old golfer. He really likes them. They are lightweight and seem to be very durable.
 Good for a Beginner January 8, 2010

I've been out to the driving range three times since receiving my set. My only complaint is that the Driver head has 3 dents on the top after only the first day at the range. I'm a beginner so I'm not a 100% sure if this is a byproduct of being such a hack at golf or poor quality of the club material. I'm leaning towards poor quality of that specific club since the others in the bag have so far survived my amateur swing. The bag is nice with plenty of pockets. Good starter set for a beginner at a bargain price. The only thing holding it back from being an excellent buy, was the aforementioned issue with the driver.

This is an excellent starter set for the value. All the clubs seem friendly and tough. Go buy a few balls and tees, and bam, you have everything you need to play golf.
Some particulars: only the Driver is a graphite shaft. All the rest are steel. However, I have had excellent results with the steel shafted #3 fairway wood. Also, the putter is very nice - it's one of those big ones with all the lines to help you set up your shot, which is something a beginner like me definitely needs!
Overall, I highly recommend this set. It will take you a long time to outgrow it.

I've had these clubs for about 6 months. Like others I dented the driver right away. Since then the clubs have held up well. For the price the set and the bag are a great deal. My only complaint/suggestion to Top Flite would be to replace one of the middle irons with a sand wedge (a wedge doesn't come with the set).
